Technician (Electrically and Mechanically Biased) – Maintenance Team
At TE Connectivity, you’ll thrive in a diverse and collaborative environment dedicated to safer, sustainable, and more connected solutions.
Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member ensures high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and compliance with TE Connectivity’s EH&S (Environmental Health & Safety) policies and procedures.
This edge-level opportunity is for a qualified, experienced Electrically and Mechanically Biased Technician to join our Maintenance Team, primarily supporting our Materials Manufacturing Facility. As part of a multi-disciplined team of technicians, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining production efficiency by servicing equipment to schedule and resolving unplanned breakdowns promptly.
Facility and Equipment Overview
The facility manufactures compounds from raw materials, which are then used in our wire and cable production—as well as supplied to TE’s global sites. Key equipment includes:
- Large mixers and twin-screw extruders
- Ancillary machines like chillers, dryers, and cutters
- Electrical and mechanical housekeeping equipment
You must be highly adaptable, ready to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults with minimal guidance. Production priorities may require you to switch between different machines in a short timeline.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
