Would you like to work for a growing local business that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global industrial manufacturer. Due to gaining more customers and future growth plans, they are looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their team.
Role And Responsibilities Of a Maintenance Engineer
- Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs of all production machinery, industrial processing equipment, site services and utilities
- Dealing with hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, rollers, belts, drives
- Follow PPM schedules, continuous improvement projects
- Electrical: PLC fault finding, repair and wiring control panels, switches, sensors, contactors
- Mechanical: fabrication, fitting, welding, manual machining to make parts/repairs

Knowledge, skills and experience need to be a maintenance engineer:
- Ideally be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
- Apprenticeship trained
- Qualified: NVQ or City and Guilds Level 3 or higher in engineering
- Must have worked in some form of manufacturing environment
- Team player and positive character
- Worked on hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, drives
- Electrical biased skills: PLC fault finding, wiring / repairs control panels, sensors, switches
- Mechanical biased skills: fabrication, fitting, welding, machining: milling, turning, grinding, lathes
