Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Role
We're looking for a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and forward-thinking manufacturing business in the Kidderminster area. This is a great opportunity to step into a highly skilled team of maintenance engineers with a structured onboarding program. Excellent earning potential centred around a competitive salary and regularly available overtime paid at market-leading rates. Location: Kidderminster
Salary: A GBP 52,149 per annum + overtime (earnings up to A GBP 60,000+)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - Days and Nights (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am)
The Role
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on heavy plant and production equipment
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns
- Diagnose faults across hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Perform bearing fitting and alignment
- Maintain high safety and quality standards in a safety-critical environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement and downtime reduction
- Work collaboratively within a shift-based engineering team

About You
You'll be a mechanically biased engineer with:
- Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience in heavy industry or manufacturing environments
- Strong fault-finding skills across hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems
- Experience with bearing fitting and alignment
- Arc and MIG welding and basic fabrication skills
- Knowledge of cutting and grinding safety regulations
You will have current or recent experience in mechanical fitting, fabrication, welding, and plant servicing, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical fitter, mechanical technician, mechanical maintenance fitting, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, mechanical maintenance technician, maintenance technician.
