Location: Northwest Midlands (Based from HMP Stafford – covering regional sites)
Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance)
Salary: £30,231 – £33,381 + extra payments for additional skills + van & fuel card

What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
- Supporting a range of building systems and compliance tasks
- Acting as an Authorised Person (training provided)
- Following safety and security procedures
- Taking part in an on-call and weekend rota

You’ll work across a small number of sites, giving you variety without excessive travel.
What we’re looking for
- A relevant trade qualification or maintenance experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Basic health & safety and IT awareness
Experience in areas such as fire safety, emergency lighting, water checks or general compliance would be beneficial—but not essential.
