Job Description
Your Responsibilities
- Help ensure the maintenance department meets goals for health and safety, environmental compliance, product quality, asset reliability, cost, and operational effectiveness.
- Comply fully with local and ADM safety regulations and standards while promoting a positive safety culture.
- Act as the site's mechanical engineering technical authority, ensuring plant assets remain safe, compliant, fit for purpose, and capable of meeting current and future business requirements.
- Own the structural/mechanical integrity programme, asset lifecycle plans, and critical spare parts strategy, identifying and mitigating risks associated with equipment condition, age, obsolescence, and design limitations.
- Provide engineering support for annual shutdowns, major maintenance activities, and significant asset upgrades or replacements, assisting with scope development, planning, coordination, and execution of major works.
- Lead the development and implementation of engineering solutions, equipment upgrades, replacement strategies, and major repairs to improve asset reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Develop, maintain, and govern engineering standards, specifications, technical documentation, and modification processes to ensure compliance with recognised engineering practices.
- Define and manage engineering scopes for shutdowns, major maintenance activities, and capital projects, providing technical support through design, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Support the investigation of complex equipment failures and recurring issues, providing technical analysis and permanent corrective actions where design or asset suitability is a contributing factor.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations, and Engineering teams to improve overall asset performance and support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians, engineers, and contractors, promoting engineering excellence and knowledge sharing throughout the organisation.

Your Profile
- HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Significant experience within a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of rotating equipment, static equipment, and mechanical systems.
- Experience managing equipment upgrades, refurbishment projects, and asset replacement programmes.
- Knowledge of mechanical integrity, asset lifecycle management, and engineering standards.
- Experience supporting planned shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to influence and drive continuous improvement across multiple functions.
- Self-motivated, organised, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
