Job Opportunity: Maintenance Engineer
My client is an established UK manufacturer specialising in advanced polymer-based manufacturing processes, supplying a diverse customer base across sectors including automotive, healthcare and industrial equipment. The business has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service and continues to invest in advanced manufacturing technologies, people and long-term growth.
As a successful privately owned organisation with an established leadership team and loyal workforce, the company offers a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking culture where employees are genuinely valued and rewarded for their contribution.
They are looking for a skilled, apprenticed trained and experienced Maintenance Engineer with mechanical experience ideally with rotating machinery. Some electrical experience will also be required. Additional training will be provided.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, you would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance in our factory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- Level 3/4 NVQ diploma or equivalent in Engineering
- 17th/18th Edition beneficial
- COCN1 Commercial Gas Safety Certificate
- Experience working in a multi-skilled maintenance role in a production environment
- Welding, fabrication, turning, and milling experience
- Adept at fault finding in mechanical, electrical, gas and plumbing systems
- Willing to work beyond standard hours for critical breakdowns
- Forklift driver or willing to learn
Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues with our machinery
- Carry out repairs and fabrication work
- Work closely with outside contractors to coordinate repairs, garner quotes and schedule routine PPMs
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely as well as produce risk assessments
- Maintain and manage our stock of spare parts whilst minimizing cost
- Keep clear records of work utilising our computer systems
- Maintain the company’s calibration records
