Role: Maintenance Engineer Employment Type: Permanent Salary: Dependent on Experience
Shift Patterns:

Continuous Day Shift:
- 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday

Rotating Shifts:
- 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am (weekly rotation)
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
Location: Larkhall
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure safe working practices are adhered to at all times
- Respond to machine breakdowns on a first-priority basis; escalate if unable to resolve, following approval chain
- Align Process Performance Management Systems (PPMS) with key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, consistently applying 5S methodology
- Conduct thorough and timely handovers, ensuring written and verbal communication are clear
- Manage parts ordering in line with administrative processes
- Contribute to store upkeep and adherence to established standards
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues to implement long-lasting fixes
- Ensure all necessary tools are available per job requirement
- Demonstrate high standards of conduct, such as refraining from eating/drinking (except water) in the workspace and maintaining effective time management
- Collaborate effectively with third-party contractors as and when required
- Optimise resource allocation—best utilisation of skills, personnel, and tools
- Provide supervision and coaching for apprentices in a support role

Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- Time-served, qualified maintenance engineer
- Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience, with expertise in:
- Conveyor belt systems
- Industrial machinery
- Electrical faults (17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Mechanical fault finding, including:
- Pumps
- Motors
- Gearboxes
- Experience in preventive and reactive maintenance
Strong Preference:
- Hydraulic system expertise
- Proven manufacturing sector experience
Desirable:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management
- Proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving
