Maintenance Engineer

Main responsibilities

The Technical/Craft Maintenance Operative will be responsible for:

  • Conducting general repair and maintenance work, both on and off site
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities and failures are responded to efficiently and effectively
  • Performing emergency tasks as requested by the Line Manager/Supervisor
  • Undertaking any related maintenance work as required by the Line Manager/Supervisor
  • Safely disposing of hazardous waste products
  • In the absence of the Line Manager/Supervisor, liaising with external contractors for small reactive projects
  • Maintaining the plant room in good order and free from defects
  • Participating in H&S daily and weekly checks
  • Supporting Pro-Active Periodic Maintenance (PPM) across the property
  • Applying skills in plumbing, electrics, and decorating (welcomed)
