Job Description
Uni-Safe Access is seeking an experienced Field Engineer specialising in high-level safe access and fall protection systems. This site-based role involves:
- Inspections
- Installation
- Technical guidance
- Engineering support

Ensuring safe, compliant work at height across varied environments—delivering practical solutions to complex access challenges.
Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Survey, design support, and installation of high-level access systems:
- Ladders
- Walkways
- Platforms
- Gantries
- Installation, inspection, and certification of fall protection systems:
- Fixed lifelines
- Anchor points
- Guardrails
- Edge protection
- Conducting:
- Site assessments
- Work at height risk evaluations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and legislation
- Providing technical support and guidance to clients and on-site teams
- Preparing:
- Clear reports
- Drawings
- Handover documentation
- Collaborating with:
- Project managers
- Designers
- H&S (Health & Safety) teams
- Troubleshooting on-site issues and delivering practical engineering solutions.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Field Engineer in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of:
- High-level access systems
- Fall protection techniques
- Understanding of:
- Work at height regulations
- Safety standards
- Comfortable working:
- At heights
- In challenging site environments
- CSCS card preferred (will be provided if required)
- Full UK driving licence
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications
- Certifications:
- IPAF
- PASMA
- Other access-related qualifications
- Fall protection inspection or manufacturer-specific training
- Experience in:
- Confined spaces
- Offshore environments (if applicable)
