Job Description

Uni-Safe Access is seeking an experienced Field Engineer specialising in high-level safe access and fall protection systems. This site-based role involves:

  • Inspections
  • Installation
  • Technical guidance
  • Engineering support

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Survey, design support, and installation of high-level access systems:
    • Ladders
    • Walkways
    • Platforms
    • Gantries
  • Installation, inspection, and certification of fall protection systems:
    • Fixed lifelines
    • Anchor points
    • Guardrails
    • Edge protection
  • Conducting:
    • Site assessments
    • Work at height risk evaluations
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and legislation
  • Providing technical support and guidance to clients and on-site teams
  • Preparing:
    • Clear reports
    • Drawings
    • Handover documentation
  • Collaborating with:
    • Project managers
    • Designers
    • H&S (Health & Safety) teams
  • Troubleshooting on-site issues and delivering practical engineering solutions.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Field Engineer in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • High-level access systems
    • Fall protection techniques
  • Understanding of:
    • Work at height regulations
    • Safety standards
  • Comfortable working:
    • At heights
    • In challenging site environments
  • CSCS card preferred (will be provided if required)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications

  • Certifications:
    • IPAF
    • PASMA
    • Other access-related qualifications
  • Fall protection inspection or manufacturer-specific training
  • Experience in:
    • Confined spaces
    • Offshore environments (if applicable)
