Maintenance Joiner Location: University Hospital North Durham, North Road, Durham, DH1 5TW
Working hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus on-call rota requirements
Contract: Permanent, full-time

Your new role What you’ll do:
You will work as part of a flexible team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all facilities on the client's site(s). Using your core skill, Joinery, you will lead on repairs and maintenance for general building fabric such as fire doors, window frames, and more.

Key responsibilities:

  • All joinery works to be carried out in accordance with the appropriate construction industry building standards.
  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement.
  • To undertake planned, reactive, and cyclical maintenance work either independently or as part of the wider team.
  • To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, informing the Hard Services Manager of any follow up action that may be required.
  • To provide mobile support to satellite sites as necessary.
  • To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities.
  • To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.

What you’ll need:
To be successful in your application, you will be a Qualified Joiner, with significant post-qualification experience in installations and building or property maintenance. Experience gained in a Facilities Management setting would be advantageous.

  • You will be confident to work effectively and make informed decisions, and you will have excellent customer care skills to make you a positive representative of Robertson FM.
  • The successful candidate will require a Standard DBS Check before starting in the job.
