TITLE: Maintenance Manager DIVISION: Risk & Compliance DEPARTMENT & LOCATION: Field Based HOURS OF WORK: 37.5
About the Role
At TGI Fridays, we focus on delivering unforgettable experiences—starting with safe, compliant, and well-maintained restaurants. We’re seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead best-in-class maintenance services across our UK estate.
This field-based role ensures restaurants operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption. You’ll oversee planned preventative maintenance, refurbishment programmes, statutory compliance, and reactive support, including 24/7 emergency response where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure restaurants respond effectively to business-critical, health & safety, and emergency situations, minimising downtime and maintaining safe, legal trading.
- Deliver all maintenance services on schedule while meeting agreed timeframes, budgets, quality standards, and SLAs.
- Maintain full statutory and mandatory compliance across the estate.
- Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiencies in line with planned programmes.
- Reduce business interruptions by implementing and enhancing preventative maintenance strategies.
- Develop balanced preventative and reactive maintenance processes to minimise disruption.
- Manage building assets and equipment in line with statutory requirements and lifecycle cost principles.
- Develop long-term asset lifecycle strategies, including end-of-life planning and investment proposals.
- Oversee all maintenance contracts, ensuring consistent service delivery, cost control, and quality assurance.
- Monitor supplier performance via SLAs and KPIs, driving continuous improvements.
- Establish robust contractor management processes, including approval schemes and H&S compliance (RAMS, CPPs).
- Collaborate with the Head of Capital Projects on refurbishment programmes and prioritise investment.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the internal maintenance team to deliver outstanding support.
- Promote continuous professional development and stay updated with industry best practices and legal requirements.

Skills & Experience
- Proven Maintenance Manager experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills (internal and external).
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to thrive under pressure.
- Solid compliance and Health & Safety knowledge (including HVAC).
- Budget management and experience in driving cost efficiencies.
- Technical knowledge of M&E, HVAC, and building maintenance.
- Minimum 5 years in a multi-site facilities management role (Manager/Supervisor level).
- Hospitality or leisure experience is a plus.
- Experience with CAFM systems.
- Supplier and contractor management expertise holds experience.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- IWFM membership (desirable).

- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required.
