Maintenance Manager

Location: Motherwell

Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for reliability, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams?

We're looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function, ensuring equipment reliability, maximising uptime, and supporting production performance across a busy manufacturing site.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and develop a team of Shift Maintenance Engineers and apprentices.
  • Manage planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
  • Drive improvements in reliability through preventative maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs, ensuring preventative maintenance compliance exceeds 97%.
  • Lead daily engineering meetings, prioritise workloads, and work closely with Production to resolve engineering issues.
  • Maintain high engineering standards, including workshop 5S, contractor management, and health & safety compliance.
  • Deliver engineering improvement and small CAPEX projects (up to £350k) that improve reliability and operational performance.

What we're looking for

  • HNC/HND in Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent).
  • Completed engineering apprenticeship.
  • 7+ years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
