ISS is looking for an experienced and motivated Maintenance Manager to join our Healthcare team at a key NHS site where the work you do has a direct impact on patient care and the hospital environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineering professional with management experience to lead a multi-skilled estates team within a complex healthcare environment. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of maintenance services across a busy acute hospital while working closely with NHS stakeholders and the wider ISS leadership team.

If you're looking for a rewarding role with genuine career development opportunities, a supportive team and the chance to work on one of ISS's flagship healthcare contracts, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services across the hospital estate, ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across all mechanical, electrical and building fabric assets.
  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary maintenance team.
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs and service delivery standards.
  • Building strong relationships with NHS clients and key stakeholders through regular engagement and operational review meetings.
  • Managing Permit to Work and Access Permit systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
  • Monitoring maintenance performance, works orders and reporting requirements.
  • Managing budgets, expenditure and financial commitments within delegated authority.
  • Identifying and reporting budget pressures, risks and opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
