About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our dynamic team at Doubletree by Hilton Southampton. If you thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment and are passionate about hospitality excellence, this is the role for you.
The Person – Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent role
- Preference for trade certification or relevant technical qualifications
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills
- Clear problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Flexibility to cover varying shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
The Role – Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead, train, and develop the maintenance team to ensure operational excellence
- Supervise repairs and maintenance work, ensuring high standards are met
Property & Systems Maintenance
- Conduct regular property inspections (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Oversee maintenance schedules, repair records, and equipment logs
- Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and emergencies

Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers when required
Cost & Resource Management
- Manage the maintenance budget and initiatives
- Collaborate with cost control measures
Interdepartmental Coordination
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments to minimise guest disruption
