We are now looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global company with fantastic development opportunities. As the new Maintenance Manager, you will be required to manage the electrical and mechanical maintenance operations at the Plant, ensuring that the most cost-effective techniques and materials are used and that all such operations are carried out in accordance with our client’s health, safety, environmental and quality procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate Health and Safety arrangements for the maintenance operations.
  • To ensure all the Plant Operating Model practices are applied by the maintenance team.
  • To manage the performance of the maintenance department through continuous improvement of maintenance processes (Walk by Inspections, Specific Inspections, Planning and Scheduling, Execution, Root Cause Failure Analysis, Critical spares), analysis of equipment reliability and definition of maintenance and technical improvement projects.
  • To supervise the maintenance annual projects (i.e., major repairs), weekly preventive activities, to champion the root cause analysis and to analyse equipment performance daily (for all plant mechanical, automation, and electrical equipment).
  • To ensure - plan, implement, control, monitor, supervise - the effective use of labour resources (maintenance team and contractors) for Automation, Electrical and Mechanical in terms of implementation of the planned maintenance programme, maintenance improvement works, maintenance troubleshooting and repair works.
  • To manage the competency development and training plant for maintenance team.
  • To oversee the planning, purchasing and inventory management of mechanical, electrical, critical spares and general consumables for the repair and maintenance and capital development of the Plant. To meet the requirements of any spare part Single Sourcing Agreement’s and KPI’s relating to a reduction in working capital.

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer Degree
  • Proven experience developing new techniques and processes associated with maintenance of manufacturing equipment for improved operating efficiency and maintenance cost reduction.
  • Must have proven experience in a maintenance department role involved in supervision and cost related role.
  • Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance and its benefit
  • Problem solving skills to identify and correct plant issues and deficiencies.
  • Able to work in a team as well as individually
  • Must be equally effective in communication with senior management and operation level employees.
