Maintenance Manager
Location: Carrickmacross
Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for asset reliability, continuous improvement, and people development? We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function, ensuring the effective delivery of engineering best practice, maximising equipment performance, and supporting operational excellence across the site.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, driving preventative maintenance strategies, improving asset performance, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage the site maintenance department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
- Develop and implement asset management best practices and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Drive standardisation of engineering systems across production areas.
- Manage maintenance systems, spare parts control, and utilisation of Holistech and MYMRO.
- Oversee maintenance budgets and control expenditure on spare parts and engineering activities.
- Plan and prioritise maintenance activities to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
- Develop, coach, and support maintenance teams through training, performance management, and succession planning.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across engineering and operations.
- Collaborate with production and project teams to successfully deliver new equipment, products, and process developments.
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring safety, quality, and value for money.
- Monitor and maintain site engineering KPIs and compliance standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, and legislative requirements.

Essential Criteria

- Level 3 Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Significant engineering and maintenance leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of asset management and preventive maintenance systems.
- Proven experience managing maintenance teams and departmental budgets.
- Strong understanding of site utilities, services, and infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
