Supply Chain - Brewing Engineer & Team Lead
Location: Manchester Salary: Circa £60,000 (depending on experience), plus benefits Contract: Perm Closing Date: 9th July 2026 (may close early—apply early!)
About the Role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity within our Brewing department. You’ll leverage your expertise in asset care and maintenance best practices, leading the charge in developing and implementing proactive maintenance strategies to enhance reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coaching a team of Technicians and Maintenance Planners to deliver world-class asset reliability through continuous improvement.
- PIVOTAL alignment with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), ensuring measurable improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensuring full compliance with safety and statutory requirements while managing and prioritising day-to-day engineering activities—spanning direct, indirect, and contract personnel.
- Overseeing the efficient delivery of maintenance services across brewing operations.
- Optimising the site CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) for maximum efficiency.
- Executing the weekly maintenance plan and managing the repairs and maintenance budget to maximise cost performance value.

Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a high-performing team to push the boundaries of asset reliability and operational excellence.
- Implement innovative ways of working, challenge traditional practices, and spearhead transformative change.
- Evaluate and improve complex process control systems, ensuring long-term business value.
- Utilise structured maintenance development techniques to refine workflows and outcomes.
- Drive safety-first cultures, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and company standards.
- Leverage your expertise in electrical/automation systems, bringing cutting-edge solutions to optimise performance.
Requirements & Skills
We’re looking for a driven, results-oriented leader—someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments:
- Highly motivated Electrical/Automation Engineer with safety-certified qualifications (IOSH/Nebosh preferred).
- Experience in leading high-performing teams and coaching toward excellence.
- Proactive, continuous improvement mindset—always looking for ways to enhance processes.
- Proven track record in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and its implementation.
- Proficient in complex process control systems with a track record of business impact delivery.
- Budget owner—accountable for cost-efficient repairs and maintenance, balancing spend and performance.
- Strong ability to filter priorities and manage resources effectively.
