Our care home sits in its own grounds with scenic views over the sea, woodland, and gardens, specialising in residential care for 32 residents.
Maintenance Officer Contract
- £14.60 per hour
- Contracted to 40 hours per week
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains safe, well maintained and fully operational at all times. This is a hands-on role with responsibility, where your practical skills and proactive approach will directly support the safety, comfort and overall environment.
- Carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks across the building and grounds, including repairs, inspections, installations and general upkeep
- Ensure equipment and systems are working safely and efficiently, identifying issues early and taking appropriate action
- Work closely with the Home Manager and wider team to support maintenance planning, compliance checks and contractor coordination where required
- Help maintain a well-organised, safe and fully functional environment, ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards

What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities or a similar role
- Good knowledge of general repairs, electrical and building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Understanding of health and safety procedures
- A proactive and practical approach
- Reliable, organised and able to problem solve
