We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is highly organised and efficient at multitasking, with experience managing day-to-day operations and small projects.
JOB DETAILS
- Job Title: Operations & Maintenance Coordinator
- Salary: £30k to £40k, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, Permanent
- Sector: Construction (High-End Residential)
- Location: Office-based in SE London (willingness to travel to site across London as required)
- Start Date: Early July 2026
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Acting as the main office contact for small projects and maintenance jobs (managing client communications, liaising with subcontractors, organising labour and materials, and ensuring sites are set up for job commencement).
- Supporting a range of operational tasks to help manage our construction business smoothly.

Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Work alongside our part-time Maintenance Manager
- Conduct site visits across London
- Handle client communications and invoicing (via WhatsApp and email)
- Coordinate subcontractor payments and assignments
- Oversee material procurement and logistics
- Proactively problem-solve risks and escalate to senior management
- Assist during larger project rectification periods, addressing client queries and delays
Construction Operations
- Schedule site teams and van runs
- Manage the onboarding of new labour-only subcontractors
- Maintain and troubleshoot construction software, supporting internal teams
- Organise Health & Safety (H&S) training for teams
- Oversee fleet maintenance (company vans) and construction tool inventory
- Coordinate branded uniform orders and distribution
Office Operations (backup for part-time Office Coordinator)
- Drive document process improvements
- Provide systems and IT support, including tech support liaison
- Assist our Managing Director with ad-hoc tasks

Prerequisites & Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in high-end residential construction
- Hands-on experience in maintenance coordination, small project management, and daily construction operations
- Proven ability to multitask, problem-solve, and pay attention to fine detail
- Self-motivated, with proactive initiative, confidence handling fast-paced projects, and robust client relations
- Experience in subcontractor coordination and efficient use of Google Suite tools
- Strong calming influence, prioritisation skills, and a can-do attitude.
- Must be highly adaptable and comfortable managing varied challenges
