Maintenance Operative
Maintenance Operative – Premium Health & Wellness Group
We’re looking for a passionate Maintenance Operative to join our team as we embed our company values of health, happiness, and excellence at work—which starts with a sense of pride in the spaces our members explore every day.

The Role
You’ll mantain all systems, equipment, and the built environment at our clubs. This means protocol of:
- Keeping equipment fully functioning across pools, gyms, spas, and Springfield suites.
- Upholding rigorous safety standards—respecting OSHA regulations, PPE, emergency protocols, and a culture that prioritises the safety of our members and staff.
- Working independently and efficiently across multiple locations.
- Supporting facilities and teams with a stewarding eye for continuous improvement.
Every day, you enhance the guest experience. From pool and poolside safety, to electrical plumbing and mechanical maintenance, to every bit of guest infrastructure—your work is key to the service our members rely on.
You also expect reliably to answer callout requests outside working hours when urgent response is needed (e.g., unexpected pool or HVAC failures).

Key Responsibilities
✨ Facilities Management
- Scheduled and emergency maintenance for toilet and waste systems, HVAC, lifts/escalators, aluminium and glass frameworks.
- Daily cleaning schedules and completion: ensuring kitchens, offices, comfort rooms and lounges are pristine.
- Hospitality service: supervision of basic water treatment and landscaping upkeep.
- Adherence to all health & safety protocols practiced among our teams.

🔧 Technical Excellence
- Use of meticulous planning and problem-solving to resolve faults before they affect members.
- Collaborate across teams to determine best practices.
- Support daily club operations: from early opening schedules to fulfil service promises.
💭 A Close-Eyed Sister Scene
- Reporting hazards, complaints or known issues before they disrupt further.
- Labour and servicing swaps: hiring and managing external tradesmen to ensure project timelines are kept.
📅 Working across multiple sites
- Actual travel time between up to 6 sites may be as much as 3.5 hours a day: Your mindset must embrace availability.
About You
- You have expertise in technical skills in [carpentry / plumbing / single phase electricals] or similar industries—with a passion for creativity in both problem-solving and applied engineering.
- You’ve achieved a Pool Plant Operators Certification (STA or industry recognised equivalent).
- Your heart is in expert diagnostics; you fix the problem first, before any bigger issues.
- You hold (or secure within the next 8 weeks) a full driving licence and a car, so you’re willing to drive between assigned club sites.
- You have proven excellence in communication, active listening and engagement—ensuring alignment and trust across teams.
- You’re a ‘team kaufus’—but also buttoned up when working independently.
