Maintenance and Repair Operative
The purpose of this position is to carry out minor maintenance and repairs to property and equipment to prescribed standards in accordance with experience and qualifications. The holder of the role will resolve customers’ concerns, and deter crime, whilst maintaining the prescribed standards of quality, safety (including safe, clean and working) and delivering continuous improvement.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor personnel activity in the car park to deter criminal activity.
- Maintain good relations with all customers, the crime prevention unit of the local constabulary and local businesses.
- Carry out routine maintenance inspections as required and report on areas requiring specialist attention.
- Transport goods and equipment in a safe and courteous manner.
- Maintain a supply of consumable materials and tools to effect minor maintenance and repairs.
- Carry out pre-operation vehicle checks and minor repairs as required.
- Report identified criminal activity in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor the appearance of designated car park(s), take action to ensure that Company standards (including clean, safe and working) are maintained and achieved.
- Ensure compliance with relevant quality and management standards, and company compliance procedures by regular reviews and audits.
- Responsibility for taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts, and to take measures in the promotion and maintenance of health and safety measures.
- Ensure that all our operations are free from hazards when conducting site visits, doing patrols or health and safety inspections. Furthermore helping to prevent them happening, spot them when they occur and making them safe so that people or property will not be adversely impacted.

- Previous experience of customer service environment would be beneficial.
- Numerate and literate.
