Maintenance Operative

About The Role

HC-One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in:

  • Maintenance
  • Building work
  • DIY
  • Cleaning
  • Housekeeping technician skills including:
  • Mechanical and electrical systems
  • IT

Key to the role is communicating with compassion and kindness when interacting with residents or colleagues.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively ensure our residents live in well-maintained properties
  • Conduct inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Undertake repairs, improvements, and decorative work with a focus on quality and kindness:
    • Replace taps, mixer valves & fittings (e.g., extractor fans)
    • Repair window frames, doors, and structural elements
    • Complete cosmetic touches (e.g., wallpapering)
  • demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and proactive problem-solving in all tasks.
