Are you a dedicated and driven individual, who is willing to work in Maintenance?

We are looking for a Paint Maintenance technician role. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the daily planned and reactive maintenance of the paint equipment within the segment 4 production area to ensure it is in an optimum state of repair with maximum operating efficiency and achieve minimum production downtime.

You will be responsible for carrying out safety critical tasks following the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) processes and procedures such as carrying out Risk assessments, permit to works and contractor assistance when required. You will be able to propose and assist with the implementation of ideas to improve equipment and processes in line with production demand.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Your focus areas will be to develop the right solutions for process and equipment in blade manufacturing and to lead implementation and standardisation of paint system equipment.
  • Responsible for the development and specification of equipment and processes.
  • Responsible for validation and qualification of equipment, materials, and processes.
  • Supporting root cause analysis.
  • Supports maintenance of technical documentation of processes and equipment if required.
  • Check and monitor equipment constantly ensuring very high levels of attention to detail.
  • This role involves lots of standing, walking and some manual lifting always whilst paying close attention to the health and safety of yourself and those around you.
  • Roles in the plant are safety critical and random drug and alcohol tests will be carried out. Failing this test could result in dismissal.
  • You will be working as part of a close team, and you’ll need to build excellent relationships.
  • You must be able to follow instructions exactly as you are directed and not take shortcuts or implement process improvements without following the correct procedure.

What You Bring:

  • Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
  • Focus on health and safety is essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualifications beneficial.
  • Experience working with large plant equipment or Production machinery.
  • Experience in working in Industry, specifically with paint application systems. Full training will be given.
  • Strong knowledge in MS Office Suite, including Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding or experience of Lean Manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent team player with good communication.
