We are seeking a highly motivated, assertive, and experienced Maintenance Planner to join our dynamic team.
The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for developing, updating, and maintaining network plans, splicing diagrams and patch plans, coordinating client support activities, and ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of fibre maintenance activities. This role plays a key part in enabling effective maintenance operations, client coordination, and infrastructure planning using technical drawings, GIS tools, and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Drawings (LLDs), and Splicing & Duct diagrams.
- Coordinate and manage client maintenance planning requests through CRM and dashboards.
- Engage and track maintenance activities via WhatsApp groups and other communication platforms.
- Provide support to BMCT operations, including printing and preparing plans.
- Conduct analysis and reporting of client network capacity.
- Assist in GIS-related tasks including geopack generation and maintenance data mapping.
- Host and participate in weekly team and stakeholder meetings.
- Oversee the accuracy and execution of client drive files.
- Support and deliver special projects as assigned.
- Demonstrate and promote company values through daily work and interactions.

- Timely and accurate updating of HLDs, LLDs, and diagrams
- Responsiveness to and resolution of client planning requests
- Effective use and update of CRM and client dashboards
- Support provided to BMCT operations
- Quality and timeliness of network capacity reporting
- Accuracy of GIS outputs and geopack files
- Participation in and facilitation of weekly meetings
- Success in special project delivery

Requirements
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficiency in planning software and preparation of technical drawings
- Strong understanding of fibre network design and maintenance planning
- Experience and proficiency with GIS tools such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar platforms
- Ability to analyse and report on network capacity and usage
- Competency in CRM systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Strong Excel and general computer skills
- Familiarity with splicing techniques and duct network layout
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric/Grade 12 or similar qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in telecoms planning, fibre design, or similar role
- Technical certification in drafting, fibre planning, or network engineering preferred
- Experience with network planning software and GIS mapping tools
- Exposure to client support environments and CRM platforms
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (preferred)
