Maintenance Planning Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Planning Engineer to join our engineering team, supporting our Boeing 747/777 commercial aircraft fleet.
Role Purpose
This is a key role responsible for ensuring all maintenance activities are effectively planned and delivered in a safe, compliant, and operationally efficient manner.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to optimise aircraft availability while maintaining the highest safety and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities of the role:
Continuously reviewing the Maintenance forecast and diligently planning all scheduled maintenance efficiently (i.e. cost and time efficient). Rigorously planning all Base maintenance, ensuring the required spares and resources are detailed and available for the agreed downtime of the maintenance input. Creating base work packages and work orders - Using AMOS Issuing work packages and work orders to Part 145 Maintenance Repair Organisations (MROs) with clear instruction of any specific requirements. Ensuring that all paperwork cleared by the Part 145 MRO on base maintenance is checked correctly certified and reported back and any NRC/MDR are reviewed and created in AMOS. Update Aircraft, Engine, Airframe and Modification logbooks. Upload all completed Paperwork to the AMOS web drive. Assisting Audits - Prepare aircraft records and reports for aircraft audits as required. Undertaking any reasonable duties in accordance with the general role requirements and being flexible and pro-active with changing priorities and focus. Deputising for the Maintenance Planning/AMP Manger as and when required. Working closely with the Maintenance Planning/AMP Manager, and The CAMO Team, to ensure the Aircraft Maintenance Program (AMP) remains effective and compliant. Work closely with the Maintenance Control Engineers, Technical Service Engineers, materials Team, Operations and Technical records. Contributing to continuous improvement across processes, systems and team working.

Key skills, Knowledge, Experience required:

At least 3 years + experience in Maintenance Planning with direct experience of maintaining aircraft including planning, forecasting, and scheduling. Excellent knowledge and experience in Critical Task, CDCCL, AWL fundamentals. Recognised previous Part M/CAMO experience within an Aviation environment. AMOS experience preferred (Current or previous). Excellent knowledge and experience of Part CAMO regulations with respect to planning and record retention requirements. Working knowledge of MSG-3 Maintenance Task Analysis. Demonstrates flexibility, versatility, pro-active and being dynamic in previous roles. Demonstrates commitment to continued professional development. Adaptable and creative. Knowledge of Aviation industry, specifically Airline operations
Additional relevant information:
The role is based at One Air Head Office at Aquilla House, Hampton Wick, four days a week with one day working from home and occasional travel outside and within the UK.
