Team: 24/7 Engineering Team | Heavy Industrial Environment

We’re looking for a **skilled, proactive Maintenance Plant Fitter to keep critical quarry and asphalt operations running at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapidly respond to plant breakdowns, restoring production quickly and safely
- Deliver permanent engineering solutions, not just quick fixes
- Carry out planned maintenance and shutdown activities
- Diagnose faults across conveyors, crushers, pumps, gearboxes & vibratory screens
- Take ownership of small improvement projects
- Support continuous improvement and eliminate repeat failures
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers onsite
- Perform high-quality welding and fabrication
- Use CMMS systems to log maintenance activity and track performance
- Uphold and champion Health, Safety & Environmental standards

Requirements
- A mechanical apprenticeship (higher-level preferred)
- Experience in heavy industry, quarrying, manufacturing, or similar environments
- Strong skills in mechanical fault-finding and diagnostics
- Confidence working with bearings, drives, motors and plant equipment
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a 24/7 operation
- A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement

Barrasford Quarry is a high-profile, large-scale operation, featuring:
- Advanced jaw, cone, and quaternary crushers
- Extensive conveyor and screening systems
- A modern asphalt plant producing over 1,000 tonnes per day
- Recent major investment upgrades delivering state-of-the-art equipment
