We offer a fantastic opportunity for a competent and motivated Electrical Supervisor to join our team. You’ll have line-management responsibility for contractors, engineers, and operatives. You’ll organise and schedule onsite activities associated with the maintenance, refurbishment, and modification of traffic signals, ancillary equipment, and highways systems. Your varied work will cover a full range of technologies and provide opportunities for teamwork, problem-solving, learning, and growth. Primarily, this is a role that will cover our prestigious customer events and Supplementary Works, involving close liaison with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Support the TTC Maintenance Team for all Ordered Maintenance within the TTC Contract for TFL.
- Lead planning and delivery of events in North and Central London, including Royal, Military, State, and Sporting events—making this role high-profile at times.
- Manage Supplementary Works in North and Central London, ensuring they are planned and delivered within timescales and budgetary guidelines.
- Prepare detailed financial claims within defined timescales, submitting correct entries for prompt payment.
- Ensure all employees, subcontractors, and third-party stakeholders adhere to safe working practices for all Ordered maintenance works.
- Assist in delivery of other Maintenance-related works, including training.
- Aid in managing the engineering team across all support functions.
- Organise stock, booking, and availability for any Ordered Maintenance works.
- Monitor and promote health and safety practices while maintaining a robust reporting system within the team.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Traffic Signals Engineer with Installation and/or Maintenance experience.
- Strong customer focus with the ability to support all stakeholders.
- Demonstrable leadership and team management experience, enjoying motivating and educating others.
- Co-operative, resourceful, and proactive—capable of initiating independence as this role demands diplomacy, acting as a focal point between TFL, Area Teams, Royal Parks staff, Event organisers, and the Met police.
- Skilled in managing multiple complex tasks, staff, and organising materials, employees, and sub-contractors.
- Must be accurate, reliable, and detail-oriented with an inclination to deliver results within the first attempt.
- Exceptional communication, teamwork, and morale-boosting skills.
- Confident using IT equipment (tablet and laptop) and open to learning new software.
- Must hold a full UK driving licence (company-provided vehicle and tools included).
- Enthusiastic outdoor worker and first-time height-worker, with a thorough understanding of safe working practices.
