Maintenance Surveyor
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent upon qualifications and experience Type: Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) Location: Covering a patch in Cumbria (based in Whitehaven, Duke Street)
We can’t offer a Contract of Service (CoS) for this role.

What You’ll Do
- Inspect properties and manage repairs across your assigned patch
- Provide clear, expert technical advice to tradespeople and contractors
- Handle disrepair cases, addressing damp and mould issues
- Oversee building works, ensuring delivery adheres to agreed timelines
- Prepare empty homes quickly and efficiently for re-let

What You Need
You must be:
- Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level in:
- Surveying
- Construction
- or Internationally recognised equivalent (MCIOB qualified)
- Knowledgeable in damp and mould issues, preferably with:
- PCAQT
- HHSRS registration or willing to obtain these qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing property issues and specifying remedial works
- Professionally aware of building pathology, including subsidence
- Proven experience in managing contractors and ensuring compliance with:
- Health and safety regulations
- (Basic DBS check required; costs covered by the company)

- Working hours: Monday—Friday

- Patch location: Travel required across Cumbria
- Equipment: Use your own vehicle (business insurance required)
- Mileage reimbursement provided
- Travel: Includes occasional home-based work
