Maintenance Surveyor
Maintenance Surveyor – Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Cumbria (covering a patch in North Lakes) Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (based on qualifications and experience) Hours: 37.5 per week (Permanent, Full-Time) No CoS offered
About the Role
Join our skilled Maintenance Team to ensure homes are safe, operational, and relet-ready. This role offers greater responsibility, variety, and impact, supporting you to progress alongside experienced colleagues.

What You’ll Do
- Inspect properties and manage repairs across your assigned patch
- Provide clear technical advice to trades and contractors
- Handle disrepair cases, damp, and mould issues
- Oversee building works ensuring delivery meets agreed timelines
- Prepare empty homes quickly for re-let

You Are
Required qualifications or experience:
- Qualified to at least HNC/HND/Degree level in Surveying, Construction, or MCIOB
- Damp and mould knowledge: PCAQT or HHSRS certified (or willing to qualify)
- Proven ability to diagnose property issues and specify remedial works
- Experience in building pathology (e.g., subsidence)
- Strong background in managing contractors & ensuring health and safety compliance

The Practical Details
- Monday to Friday
- Flexible diary management
- Covers North Lakes patch with travel and potential home working arrangements
- Use of company-insured personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement paid)
- Standard DBS check (paid by employer)
