Maintenance Surveyor

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent upon qualifications and experience Contract: Permanent, full time (37.5 hours per week) Location: Covering a patch in Cumbria

Responsibilities

  • Inspect properties and manage repairs across your assigned patch
  • Provide clear technical advice to trades and contractors
  • Handle disrepair cases and address damp and mould issues
  • Oversee building works and ensure delivery meets agreed timelines
  • Prepare empty homes quickly for re-let

Requirements

  • Qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree level in Surveying or Construction, or MCIOB
  • Knowledge & Experience:
    • Damp and mould (PCAQT and HHSRS qualification, or willing to gain)
    • Diagnosing property issues and specifying remedial works
    • Building pathology, including subsidence
    • Managing contractors and ensuring health and safety compliance

The practical details

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility: Manage your own diary
  • Area of responsibility: North Lakes patch, includes travel and occasional home working
  • Transport: Use your own vehicle (insured for business use); we’ll pay your mileage
  • Security: Basic DBS required (we cover the costs)
