Maintenance Surveyor

Maintenance Surveyor – Cumbria Patch

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

  • Permanent
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)
  • Location: Covering a patch in Cumbria

No company car scheme (CoS) available for this role

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect properties and manage repairs across your assigned patch.
  • Provide clear technical guidance to trades and contractors.
  • Handle disrepair cases, addressing damp and mould issues.
  • Oversee building works, ensuring delivery adheres to agreed timelines.
  • Prepare empty homes quickly for re-let.

What You Are

Requirements & Experience

  • Qualified to HNC/HND/Degree level in Surveying or Construction, or MCIOB (member of the Chartered Institute of Building)
  • Knowledgeable in damp and mould issues, with:
    • PCAQT (Property Care Association Qualifications and Training) experience
    • HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) compliance (or willing to gain these credentials)
  • Experienced in diagnosing property issues and prescribing remedial works.
  • Strong understanding of building pathology, particularly subsidence.
  • Experience managing contractors, ensuring health and safety compliance.

  • Workdays: Monday to Friday.
  • Manage your own diary.
  • Patch: Covering North Lakes (travel and homeworking options available).
  • Vehicle: Use your own, insured for business use (mileage allowed).
  • DBS check: Basic DBS required (payment covered by us).
