Job Overview
Join TE Connectivity’s Maintenance Supervisor team at a high-volume Wire & Cable Manufacturing Facility. Your role involves hands-on supervision, fast-resolution of electrical & mechanical breakdowns, daily leadership of technicians and apprentices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities span Root Cause Analysis (RCA), site performance optimisation, and promoting a health & safety-first culture.
Your New Role
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Promote and uphold a strong health & safety culture
- Identify hazards, ensure compliance with regulations, and expedite closure of safety issues
- Conduct & support Risk Assessment (RA) reviews and develop new COSHH documentation

Maintenance & Operations
- Respond swiftly to equipment failures to minimise downtime
- Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and fault-resolution
- Plan, prioritise, and follow up on PM schedules and corrective actions
- Act as the technical shift-lead—first point of contact for all maintenance issues
- Manage structured shift handovers with clear documentation
Leadership & Supervision
- Balance workloads efficiently and allocate resources effectively
- Oversee contractors, ensuring adherence to site standards & safety protocols
- Conduct performance management, including 1-to-1 meetings and career discussions
- Mentor junior technicians and apprentices, fostering professional growth
Continuous Improvement
- Lead or contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to closure stage
- Identify Corrective & Preventative (CER) projects, addressing obsolescence
- Attend Tier 3 technician meetings, advocating and implementing improvements
- Perform 5S walkarounds and maintain clear visual management boards

Administration & Systems
- Raise/review parts requisitions, collaborating with the Maintenance Coordinator
- Log all work activities in CMMS, tracking PMs, corrections, and follow-up actions
- Enforce strict documentation & reporting standards
What Your Background Should Look Like
✔ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory/lead maintenance role (electrical & mechanical) ✔ Fully trained or equivalent apprenticeship experience ✔ Proven ability to multitask across machinery, systems, and disaster resolutions ✔ Proficient in CMMS software and Microsoft applications ✔ Experience with RCA/Lean, continuous improvement (highly desirable)
