Salary: 13.45/hour

Job Description

  • Undertake and manage general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, heating, carpentry and decorating
  • Conduct routine inspections of building structures, equipment and assets, performing reactive and preventive maintenance with minimal disruption to guests and visitors
  • Install, inspect and troubleshoot equipment, appliances and systems, including heating and air conditioning distribution systems
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records and daily logs of all repairs and maintenance activities
  • Actively contribute to the safety of people and property, including maintaining clear emergency exits
  • Undertake appropriate training to develop expertise and identify areas for operational improvement

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or a related trade (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or HVAC systems)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and building compliance standards
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliability, responsibility, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
