Please note: this is a 12 month fixed-term contract

The Role

The role will involve carrying out maintenance of Bi-Mode, Tri-Mode, Diesel multiple units, rolling stock, Locomotives & tram-trains, to recognised VMI (Vehicle Maintenance Instructions) and laid down safety procedures whilst playing an active role to carry out duties to ensure that the reliability and availability targets are consistently met and improved.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensure all duties are carried out safely with the use of PPE adhering to all safety policies and procedures, liaising with all other team members, Team leaders and management.
  • Ensure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instruction.
  • Carry out work as allocated by the Team Leader / manager within set timescales and to the recognised standards.
  • Use of all PPE in accordance with Rule book, FSP's and local instructions.

Who We're Looking For

  • Understand and identify the hazards and consequences of defective rolling stock systems and components.
  • NVQ L3 Engineering / Maintenance qualification.
  • Indentured and recognised Engineering apprenticeship.
  • Understand and implement engineering maintenance and quality standards.

Welsh Language Skills

While not essential for this role, Welsh language skills would make a great addition to your application.
