Maintenance Technician
We're hiring a Maintenance Technician, offering a company van and consistent work within your Community. What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out general repairs in properties and communal areas
- Completing work in occupied and void properties (including cleaning and maintenance)
- Supporting installation work (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, and boilers)
- Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements
- Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers, and wider teams to meet deadlines
- Recording work activity and maintaining accurate documentation

What Your Day Looks Like
- A structured schedule covering repairs and maintenance work
- Travelling between jobs in your company van
- Working independently or with a trade team
- Engaging directly with customers in their homes
- Completing work efficiently while maintaining quality & compliance
Where You’ll Work
You will operate across:
- Occupied homes
- Void (empty) properties
- Communal areas in housing schemes
- Environments involving vulnerable customers
Essential Criteria (must meet all for shortlisting)
✅ Experience carrying out general repairs, ideally within social housing ✅ Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently ✅ Full UK driving licence ✅ Based (or able to commute daily) within the NE postcode area
Nice-to-Have (experience isn’t mandatory but advantageous)
🟡 Experience with installations (kitchens, bathrooms, boilers) 🟡 Previously working in social housing
Hiring Process
