Position Overview
The Multi-Skilled Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting all onsite engineering and maintenance activities, with a primary focus on mechanical systems and support for electrical plant operations. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prioritize and promote a strong safety culture across all activities.
- Perform mechanical maintenance and support electrical plant operations.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, motors, sensors, and process equipment.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Utilize and maintain the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Coordinate maintenance activities with production and plant supervisors.
- Manage spare parts inventory and order replacements as required.
- Administer permit-to-work processes and oversee contractor safety compliance.

Minimum Requirements
- Engineering qualification in a mechanical or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience maintaining mechanical process equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Windows applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in chemical, adhesives, batch processing, or fluid handling industries.
- Time-served engineer or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, welding, and machining.
- Experience with diaphragm pumps and ATEX-regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience implementing maintenance or process improvement initiatives.
