ROLE: Electrical Maintenance Technician

HOURS: 4on4off rotational days/nights
SALARY: £48,965.28 plus shift allowance and excellent benefits

Due to continued growth, we are looking for additional experienced Electrical Maintenance Technicians based at our Clover Nook Site, Somercotes, Alfreton.
While the role includes some mechanical work, the primary focus is electrical fault finding, maintenance, and improvement of industrial systems. Engineers will also have opportunities to become involved in electrical improvement and capital projects, supporting work from Design, Manufacture, Installation and Commissioning.
These projects will provide valuable experience allowing our engineers to broaden their skills, contribute ideas, and develop their careers within Eurocell.
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring strong practical electrical experience and want to grow further in an industrial engineering environment along with applications from qualified electricians looking to transition from installation, building services, or other electrical sectors into an industrial manufacturing maintenance environment.

This role offers the opportunity to apply strong electrical fundamentals while developing experience with production machinery, automation systems, and industrial engineering practices.
What Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians Do
- Electrical fault finding on production machinery and control systems
- Maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, drives, sensors and control panels
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems
- Supporting electrical upgrades and improvement projects
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers when required
What We Need From Our Electrical Maintenance Technicians
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Maintenance, or a related engineering discipline
- Electrical qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Strong practical electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit drawings
- A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance and problem solving
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries could be an advantage
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems and industrial automation - desirable
- Experience with motors, drives, sensors and control systems- could be an advantage
