Maintenance Technician
Location: Coventry & Warwickshire area Organisation: Coventry & Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT), NHS
Role Overview To work as a Maintenance Technician, performing skilled building and fabric trade functions—including fire doors, anti-barricade doors, windows, security, and fire alarm systems—across NHS facilities within NW Midlands. You’ll provide proactive, customer-focused maintenance, balancing routine and non-routine repairs, inspections, and technical advice. The role demands adaptability, robust teamwork, and a commitment to health, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities

Reactive & Planned Maintenance
- Complete allocated reactive tasks (urgent repairs).
- Uphold PPM (Preventive/Predictive Maintenance) schedules.
- Perform surveys and inspections of building fabric, internal services, and safety systems.

Technical Support
- Provide expert advice on materials, equipment, and systems to colleagues.
- Enter service and maintenance records for full IVMS/ERMS tracking.

Health & Safety Leadership
- Identify risks in building/technical areas and escalate concerns promptly.

System Maintenance
- Test, investigate, and repair fire alarm and security systems.
- Conduct basic structural assessments (DIY/repair works including dry lining, plastering, and painting).

Supplier Liaison
- Coordinate with external contractors for complex or beyond-scope repairs.
