About the Role

As an Engineering Maintenance Technician, you will play an imperative part in supporting the pre-planned and reactive maintenance within our state-of-the-art automated fulfilment centre in Erith.

What you will be doing

  • Carry out maintenance on production equipment in an accurate, timely, and safe manner.
  • Diagnose equipment breakdowns, resolving issues and action repairs where possible.
  • Update engineering records, including all work carried out, as well as supporting the identification of root cause of failures.
  • Confirmation of spares and consumables will be part of your role along
  • Ensuring the Computerised Maintenance Management System is updated with accurate data to meet Engineering KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyse engineering failures and find solutions to improve Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) performance.
  • You will work on a days-based shift pattern to support our operation and should be comfortable working at height.

About you

  • A formal engineering-related qualification would be advantageous.
  • You will have a basic technical understanding relating to automation hardware and software would be beneficial.
  • Demonstrable analytical skills with sound problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with good organisation skills and ability to prioritise are essential.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, conveyors would be advantageous.
