Maintenance Technician (Electrical) at NHS Property Services

As part of our commitment to Get, Grow, and Keep Great People, we are now recruiting for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) who will support sites across Launceston, Stratton (Bude), Bodmin, and Saltash while being based at Launceston Community Hospital.
Job Details
- Location: Launceston Community Hospital (Mobile)
- Salary: From £41,000 (+ on-call allowance*)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
- Contract: Permanent
Join a thriving team delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a diverse multi-site NHS estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical works
- Respond efficiently to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with NHS and statutory standards
- Accurately complete contract documentation and compliance records
- Collaborate with site stakeholders and the wider maintenance team
- Manage routine tasks while adhering to policies and demonstration professionalism

Required Experience & Qualifications
✔ Fully qualified electrician with Level 3 qualifications ✔ 18th Edition Wiring Regulations enforceable ✔ Desirable—Proven experience with electrical testing and inspection ✔ Demonstrable maintenance sector experience (preferably in a dynamic live environment) ✔ Full UK driving licence (company van provided for workflow) ✔ Successful DBS check required
