Starting from £41,762.08 + Overtime + Annual Bonus (up to £1,500) + 25 days leave + 8 days Bank Holiday + Pay Increases + Excellent Benefits + Pension + Training + Progression + Home-Based + Van + Monday–Friday.

Severn Trent are hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians in the West Midlands region, covering Telford, Wolverhampton and Birmingham.

This is a field-based role, where you’ll start work from home and be provided with a company vehicle, mobile, safety equipment, and tools. Working hours: Mon – Thu 7:00 – 3:00, Fri 7:00 – 2:30 (flexibility on start and end times can be offered), plus being on a standby rota will be required.

What You’ll Need

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent)
  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship, or relevant practical experience.
  • 18th edition IEE electrical regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, process, energy, or utilities environment, would be beneficial.

Desirable

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding, maintenance, and repair capability
  • NVQ Level 3 Instrumental or NVQ Level 3 Mechanical qualification (or equivalent would be highly desirable for a dual skilled individual)

Career Development

This role has a clear, structured development path from Foundation to Skilled and Expert. Salary starts at £41,762.08, rising to £45,165.69 with qualifications and experience, supported through formal training and assessment.

And it doesn’t stop there! Paid training and development form a core part of this role, with a requirement to work toward gaining a recognised second skill.

While instrumental qualifications or experience are advantageous, they are not essential, as full upskilling, formal training, and structured competency development will be provided.

We are considering all applicants that may already be dual skilled with the relevant qualifications with a starting salary of £45,171.90.
