Job Title: Maintenance Technician – Electrician

Location: Billingham, UK

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician (Electrician) to keep our Billingham site running safely and reliably. You’ll carry out day-to-day maintenance, fault finding, and breakdown response on our electrical infrastructure, support isolations and permit-to-work processes, and help drive a best-in-class safety and compliance culture. You’ll work closely with other trades, contractors, and planners to minimise downtime and keep critical systems available.

What you’ll do

  • Perform safe, efficient fault diagnosis, maintenance, and servicing across site electrical systems, following OEM instructions and HSE standards.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, schedules, P&IDs, and specifications to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Prepare, isolate, and reinstate plant and equipment; coordinate isolations with the Site Responsible Electrical Engineer and support the permit-to-work process.
  • Complete and manage electrical test certificates and related documentation for review and archiving.
  • Support on-call coverage and respond to emergency call-outs outside core hours when required.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and planners to report progress and assist colleagues as needed.
  • Induct and supervise contractors on site where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
