Key Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the seamless operation of mechanical and electrical plant, equipment, and services across our facilities. Your core duties include:

  • Carrying out engineering activities per the CMMS system, prioritising tasks by criticality
  • Installing, repairing, maintaining, and inspecting plant, equipment, and building installations to industry standards
  • Working closely with operational management and team members to address production needs
  • Responding quickly to technical breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and resolving issues with minimal production downtime
  • Performing diagnosis, maintenance, and repairs on all equipment in a safe, timely, and professional manner
  • Estimating timelines for tasks and understanding risks if deadlines are missed
  • Complying with permit-to-work procedures and safeguarding both safety and equipment integrity
  • Identifying and escalating risks of harm or damage to site management
  • Reporting equipment faults, breakdowns, and concerns to the relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards and adheres to quality regulations
  • Maintaining awareness of site policies, procedures, and engineering standards
  • Developing and maintaining Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
  • Assisting visiting specialist engineers as required
  • Coordinating contractors while adhering to company procedures
  • Supporting emergency response requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a mechanical or electrical engineering apprentice with a minimum of four or five years of a nationally recognised/approved apprenticeship
  • Experience or training with COMAH is a plus, though not obligatory;
  • Cisco’y carbon monoxide (COMAH) awareness experience, where applicable, is highly favourable, but not essential
