Full Time Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical/Plumber) - Band 5

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust

About the Role

The Maintenance Fitter (Mechanical/Plumber) will play a critical role within the Estates team, responsible for maintaining a wide range of mechanical systems and equipment across all properties belonging to Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 per annum (Band 5)

Responsibilities

The role will entail:

  • Performing reactive, planned preventative, and scheduled maintenance on mechanical and plumbing services across the Trust’s extensive estate, including 50+ sites across Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull.
  • Ensuring strict statutory compliance for all mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Maintaining and repairing engineering plant and services across both on-site and off-site properties.
  • Collaborating with the Operational Estates Management team to uphold safety, functionality, and suitability of all facilities within the Trusted.
  • Operating under an on-call rota (mandatory participation required).

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A completed mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent training at Level 3 or higher.
  • An appropriate mechanical/plumbing qualification.
  • Significant experience working in reactive, planned preventative, and scheduled maintenance.

Additionally, candidates must be happy to:

  • Operate in an on-call system for urgent maintenance calls.
