Main Purpose of the Job
- To provide everyday maintenance to maintain and improve company assets
- To ensure site/equipment compliance with legal obligations and Bleckmann/customer requirements
- To uphold Health & Safety rules and regulations
- To identify cost-saving alternatives for minor on-site repairs within your skill set
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Compliance
- Conduct weekly testing and recording across two sites
- Perform planned maintenance, including:
- Sprinkler systems, water flushing
- Emergency & internal lighting, fire alarms
- Sanitary ware, disabled refuge areas
- Carry out minor repairs and schedule tasks via outlet reports (e.g. leaks, painting, property repairs)
Contractor & Project Support
- Coordinate with contractors for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)—including:
- Providing access, inductions, permits, and sign-offs
- Monitoring site safety with H&S and Facilities Coordinators
- Assist in preparing PTW (Permit to Work), RAMS (Risk Assessment), and inspection supplies
- Support internal projects, including client-build construction tracking via the project management tool

Emergency & Sustainability Focus
- Prioritise and respond to emergency repairs
- Contribute to cost-saving initiatives in maintenance & sustainability
- Support waste minimisation and product lifecycle extensions for clients
Health & Safety & Documentation
- Audit tool kits regularly and conduct stock takes of small consumables
- Attend monthly H&S meetings (active committee member)
- Attend fortnightly Facilities Committee meetings
Profile & Qualifications
Essential Training & Experience
- Electrical safety certificate
- Water hygiene certification
- MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform) license & MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) certification
- Experience in refurbishment & repair work
- Knowledge of warehouse maintenance, UK Health & Safety Legislation, CAMS systems, and statutory compliance
Candidates Must Hold:
- Valid driving licence (required to travel between dual sites)
