As part of our mission to Get, Grow and Keep Great People, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician - Plumbing to join our South Coast team, helping us deliver safe, efficient and high-quality services across the NHS estate.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician - Plumbing to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Based from our Newhaven Hub, you will provide planned and reactive plumbing maintenance services across a diverse portfolio of NHS properties covering Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne, Bognor Regis and the wider South Coast region.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for ensuring plumbing systems remain safe, efficient and fully operational. Working both independently and as part of a wider maintenance team, you'll play a key role in creating environments that support excellent patient care and NHS services.
Who You Are
You are a qualified and experienced plumbing professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively with colleagues, and taking ownership of your work.
You will hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent) and have experience carrying out maintenance, repairs and fault-finding across a range of plumbing systems. A G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification would be beneficial, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned preventative and reactive plumbing maintenance across NHS properties.
- Diagnose and repair faults across plumbing and heating systems.
- Carry out installations, replacements and upgrades of plumbing equipment and components.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with statutory and company compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to completed works.
- Build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the effective maintenance of the NHS estate.
- Can handle routine tasks and social interactions within a work environment. Ability to absorb policy and guidance necessary for the role.
Where You'll Be
This role is based from our Newhaven Hub and covers sites across Brighton, Hastings, Eastbourne, Bognor Regis and surrounding South Coast locations. A company van, tools and equipment will be provided.
