How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
As a Maintenance Technician at Air Liquide, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of our production plant and equipment through hands-on reactive and planned preventative maintenance. A core part of your role will be to uphold safety and quality standards by collaborating with subcontractors and design authorities on maintenance work. You'll also need to keep accurate records of equipment calibration and certification. In addition, you will have the opportunity to manage small installation projects and may occasionally travel to other IPG locations to support other engineers.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute routine and breakdown maintenance on cryogenic pumps and industrial packaged gas filling systems in line with engineering best practices.
- Working with the production team and sub-contractors to schedule and perform on-time maintenance, minimizing downtime.
- Manage local spare parts inventory efficiently to maintain high productivity while staying within budget.
- Actively participate in safety walks and risk assessments.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, logging all statutory data and defects into the computer maintenance management system.
- Collaborate with the wider Engineering Team to tackle equipment obsolescence, propose system upgrades, and provide data to support the Capex process.
Are you a MATCH?
The ideal person for this role will have a solid background in Mechanical Engineering and ideally have previous experience within the industrial gas, chemical, or oil & gas sectors.
We also look for:
- 2+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with processes on a COMAH site is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Pressure Safety Systems Regulations written schemes.
- Technical knowledge in plant/process instrumentation, controls, and electrical and safety systems.
- Experience with Permit to Work systems, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and Management of Change procedures.
- Knowledge of cryogenic processes, compressors, and cooling systems is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to collaborate with different teams and people.
- A positive can-do attitude with an ability to use your own initiative and prioritise.
- Full clean driving license.
