Job Description: Maintenance Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
This role focuses on Machine and Equipment (MAE) maintenance, ensuring high reliability, efficiency, and productivity. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining expertise in:
- MAE maintenance techniques
- Company products and services
- Operational working practices
- Executing all role-related tasks efficiently, including:
- Planning and improving MAE reliability
- Sharing knowledge and problem-solving techniques with colleagues
- Implementing root-cause analysis when identifying and eliminating unplanned system downtime
- Ensuring quality outcomes through:
- Completing all planned works to a high standard
- Any follow-up maintenance required
- Identifying recurring issues and faults on MAE, along with potential solutions
- Removing wasteful processes through structured activities
- Contributing work standards that align with established business procedures
- Supporting CNC and general engineering machine maintenance

Key Responsibilities Include

Mechanical Maintenance & Improvement
- Analysing system repair logs and highlighting frequent causes of failure
- Conducting root cause analysis to resolve ongoing and recurring equipment issues

Fault Diagnosis & Confirmation
- Understanding known issues on MAE and proposing logical solutions
- Preparing repair plans to prevent future faults

Assembly & Support for Maquinare & Hovel
- Collaborating with production staff to streamline installation, assembly, and maintenance workflows
Requirements
- Qualifications: Relevant NVQ status or equivalent:
- ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred), or equivalent practical engineering experience
- Key Technical Competencies:
- Working knowledge of CNC and general engineering machinery
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
- Soft Skills & Attributes: Ability to demonstrate:
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- A team-oriented approach with initiative
- Problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Resilience and ability to manage stress
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for on-the-job learning
