Role Purpose
The Facilities, Maintenance, and Contractor Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of facilities, engineering platforms, processes, procedures, and technical support for the delivery of engineering services for Johnson & Johnson (J&J) properties in the UK and Ireland. The role is accountable for engineering compliance, operational excellence, and the implementation of model operations and maintenance programs aligned with global processes and procedures. The individual will act as the single point of contact for the sub-region and ensure seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Checking over Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior to Work Commencing
- Raising, Issuing, Monitoring, and Closing Permit to Works
- Deploying engineering platforms, processes, procedures, and tools
- Providing technical support to service delivery teams
- Managing strategic partners for engineering services delivery
- Supporting delivery against any energy reduction glide path
- Achieving zero unplanned downtime
- Supporting service delivery teams to meet financial targets
- Ensuring operational excellence and compliance for the service delivery teams
- Supporting the Capital Investment Planning Cycle
Operations & Compliance
- Ensuring operations and maintenance strategies and plans comply with J&J/JLL Engineering programme globally
- Overseeing and implementing technology systems such as Corrigo and JLL Smart Buildings Program to support service delivery and reporting accuracy
- Supporting and tracking the implementation of standard operating, emergency, and maintenance procedures
- Implementing and sharing best practices and innovation within JLL Corporate and other accounts
- Ensuring consistency in monthly reporting across all facilities and geographies to client satisfaction
- Enforcing zero tolerance to unsafe working practices
- Supporting the transformation of existing operations to the target operating model
Client and Account Management
- Acting as the single point of contact for the internal JLL Engineering delivery function; serving as escalation point and client interface
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders in J&J’s organisation
- Developing and implementing the Engineering Services account business plan aligned with J&J’s and JLL’s objectives

Financial Management
- Supporting development of engineering budgets
- Assisting facility management teams to deliver on financial targets by facility
- Participating in budgeting and forecasting review meetings, as required
- Identifying opportunities to cross-sell services and collaborate with other business lines at JLL
Contract Management
- Ensuring engineering requirements are included in all contracts with Suppliers
- Managing achievement of key performance indicators, SLAs, and service level measures
Other Responsibilities
- Supporting and syncing up with JLL Corporate office as agreed
- Serving as an operational reference on business pursuits; representing critical operations as needed
- Supporting research and development of innovative ideas to enhance competitiveness
- Evaluating, proposing, and piloting appropriate tools/processes supporting engineering services
- Ensuring effective and timely implementation of training plans for managers, technicians, and partner organisations, ensuring competency
- Driving initiatives to enhance JLL's capability to self-deliver services and reduce reliance on partner organisations
- Ensuring legal, statutory, and contractual compliance of engineering practices, executed consistently across accounts
- Developing feasibility proposals
- Advocating for equal opportunities
- Undertaking other duties as assigned by the line manager
Key Performance Measures
- Deliver all services in accordance with SLAs, KPIs, Savings Targets, Satisfaction Survey, Personal Performance objectives, and financial targets
- Meet objectives as agreed in the Individual Performance Management Program (IPMP)
Experience & Competencies
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering or facilities within a supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability to manage significant operations
- Commercial expertise in engineering contracts
- Practical knowledge of hard services contract delivery and best practice tools and techniques
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Analytical skills and systematic approach
- Experience in developing processes and procedures
- Proven project methodology approach
- Ability to work in a team and multicultural environment
- Planning and organisational skills
- Customer focus and relationship management
- Commercial awareness and business development experience
- Creativity, innovation, and action orientation
- Capacity for change, highly motivated, and interpersonal sensitivity
- Flexibility regarding working hours and willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Facilities, Engineering, or Electrical background ideally Level 3 NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely required
