Role Description

The Major Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chelmsford. This position is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key national and regional accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Developing account plans to drive revenue growth

The Major Account Manager will collaborate closely with operations, commercial, and customer service teams to provide a seamless experience for major clients.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in major account management, B2B sales, or key client relationship management within a services or construction-related industry.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, contract management, and commercial acumen, with the ability to develop and execute account plans.
  • Proficiency in customer relationship management, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to analyze sales and account performance data, forecast demand, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Comfort working on-site and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and customer support.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and standard office software; ability to prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Full driving license and willingness to visit customer sites as needed; prior experience in tool, equipment hire, or construction sectors is advantageous.
  • Education in business, sales, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
